Nice to virtually meet you! Here's what you need to know about me.

Before joining The Entrepreneur’s Source as a Career Ownership Coach, Aaron was a member of the higher education community for almost 30 years, 25 of those years working in Teacher Preparation. He held several different positions across his career, starting as a research and teaching assistant and ending most recently as the Dean of Education and Academic Vice President of the WGU Teachers College, the largest college of education in the nation. Aaron earned his bachelors in Exercise Physiology & Medicine and then went on to earn a masters and doctorate in Instructional Psychology & Technology, emphasizing in measurement and evaluation of learning. Today, his field of study is best known as the Learning Sciences, which gives him a unique foundation on how people think and learn.

Aaron has spent his professional career serving, teaching, mentoring, and coaching people. He has a deep desire to help people learn and grow, so they are on their path to opportunity and self-actualization while doing their life’s best work and realizing their dreams. Aaron has always loved mentoring and coaching, from the classroom, to the sports field, to the office, he greatly enjoys using his talents, skills, and experience to mentor and coach those around him to become the best versions of themselves and he wants to do the same for you as your Career Ownership Coach.

Aaron lives in the Salt Lake City, Utah metro area with his greatest inspiration and “why,” his sweetheart and best friend of 28 years, Robyn and their five adult children, Nathan, Kielle, Ada, Ryan, and Tessa. Robyn and Aaron enjoy the great outdoors, particularly hiking in the beautiful Wasatch-front mountains that surround their home. One of the things that gets Aaron’s pulse racing is college sports, particularly college football. Aaron lives for fall weekends when he can enjoy a Saturday filled with great football games, particularly pulling for his beloved Clemson Tigers. One of the greatest inspirations in Aaron’s life is the power of an amazing sunset, which brings peace and inspiration into his life, particularly when they are in his beloved Blue Ridge Mountains or across a tranquil body of water. His retreat and respite are being in nature, particularly being on the water. When Aaron is on the water, his kids lovingly call him “Happy Lake Daddy.”

“I started with just me and one truck, working out of my garage. I now have four employees, and I am in a commercial space. The earnings potential is pretty well limitless at this point. I am busy. I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
